TV star Ty Pennington, who reportedly fell ill after attending the Barbie premiere in Los Angeles, is recovering.
“Trading Spaces” took to Instagram on Friday to share a health update, revealing that he had been rushed to a Denver-area hospital after suffering breathing difficulties due to an abscess. He was intubated.
The actor said he suffered a medical emergency just days after attending the premiere of the movie “Barbie” in Los Angeles.

“I’m fine now, I’m recovering,” the 58-year-old design specialist stated.
Flew to Colorado to start filming in Breckinridge and Tuesday morning I woke up at 4am and barely breathing, found out the sore throat I’ve had for the past month was actually an abscess. It had grown so large that it was blocking my airway.
